Matt Gardner

I’ve been playing guitar since 1988, and I’ve been teaching full time for over 25 years. I’ve delivered thousands of lessons and have helped many students reach their musical goals.

I understand the challenges that come with learning the guitar, and I’m here to guide you through them in a way that’s supportive and motivating.

A Broad Range of Musical Influences: My influences range from rock legends like Jimi Hendrix and Led Zeppelin to modern artists like Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift. I teach a variety of genres, so you can explore everything from classic rock to pop, depending on what excites you most. Every lesson will reflect your personal musical interests.

Live Performance Experience: I’m the lead guitarist in The Undercovers one of Oxfordshire’s leading covers bands, and I regularly play live. 

I incorporate performance coaching into my lessons, so if you want to take the stage, you’ll be well-prepared. Whether you want to join a band or perform solo, I’ll help you gain the skills and confidence you need.

Our set list consists of a great collection of classic and modern rock and pop songs guaranteed to get everyone up on the dancefloor for your wedding, party or work function.

My experience as a lead guitarist puts me in a fantastic positon to help those students who wish to get into a band and perform live.
